Davao Oriental forms chamber of commerce

BUSINESS LEADERS, captains of industry, top professionals and leading entrepreneurs of Davao Oriental have formed themselves into a chamber of commerce and industry.

The organization is called Oriental Pacific Business Chamber, Inc. This was learned from Arturo M. Milan, president of the Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc.

Oriental Pacific is headed by Rufo C. Trocio, an engineer, as president, Milan said.

“The Davao City Chamber, now on its 50th founding anniversary, welcomes the birth of the business chamber  and would willingly cascade its experiences, learnings and knowhow in managing an award-winning chamber,” the DCCCII president said.

Milan said the officers of Oriental Pacific is scheduled to have a benchmark meeting with DCCCII officers from 2pm to 5pm on April 11, Wednesday, at the DCCCII board room.

He said the chamber officers led by DCCCII Chairman Antonio T. dela Cruz, lifetime chairman Sebastian L. Angliongto, who is from Davao Oriental, and Milan will brief the visitors from Davao Oriental on DCCCII’s history, vision, mission, values and awards. Executive Vice President Yvonne F. Cabada will also explain the membership campaign that the DCCCII has continuously conducted, including fees involved.

Aside from President Trocio, the other Pacific Oriental officers expected to attend the benchmark activity are : engineer Joel A. Capili, vice president; Katrina Fides F. Gayta, secretary; Wee Chee Tom, treasurer; Jocylen Gotardo, auditor; Edgardo Lopez, press relations officer; engineer Manolito Bongar, director; Rolly Devera, director; Atty. Kareen Silver Manluyang, director;  Amelita Pinanday, director; Albertson So, director; Edgar Tan, director; Mayr Jane Trinidad, director; and Grectchen Carmelotes, auxiliary secretary.
