STA. CRUZ, Davao del Sur, Aug. 8 – Inspired by their hard work, Hedcor continues to back 12 outstanding junior high school students of the beneficiary schools in Davao del Sur in their quest to reach their dream of reciprocating their parents efforts and sacrifices.
These students from Kapatagan National High School and Federico Yap National High School will continue to receive financial incentives from Hedcor for remaining on top in their classes.
Hedcor, who aspires for an inclusive growth between the company and its host communities, makes sure that these future builders are inspirited to build a better future.
“I thank Hedcor for their unending support and compassion to us who have little but also have big dreams. This financial assistance will really help me especially now that both of my parents do not have sustaining jobs,” said 9th Grader Anjelina Canomay.
Indeed, these students are proving that they can help their parents even as students.
Ramil Alcantara, the president of Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of KPNHS and the father of one of the recipients of the financial assistance, in tears, said: “Wow, you are an answered prayer. I was just praying to God to help us with our financial problems, and I was really wondering where to get enough money for my daughter’s allowance, and here you are. Thank you for being a blessing to others.”
In Davao City and Davao del Sur, Hedcor has given financial assistance to a total of 37 deserving high school students of host communities since 2008.
This program aims to prepare public high school students for a college scholarship, in which 2 of the 27 Hedcor college scholars already graduated. (Hedcor)
