GMA Artist Center stars Bianca Umali, Paolo Contis and Sef Cadayona play their part in spreading love by celebrating their birthdays with their chosen charities.
As the newest World Vision Youth Ambassador, Bianca Umali flew all the way to Cebu last March 7 to share the love for learning. Bianca enjoyed the get-together with the child beneficiaries of the organization as they busied themselves with hand painting, gift-giving, as well as a few dance numbers.
Bianca believes that learning can be both work and play, which is what she wants the children to realize. “It’s nice to see them have fun and learn at the same time. I want to encourage the children to read and gusto kong maranasan nila ‘yong childhood na creative through reading.”
For Paolo Contis, he considers having the opportunity to help as the biggest gift he received this year. He spent a day with the abandoned and orphaned kids of Boys Town in Marikina City on March 8, and the touching stories of these children made him commit to this advocacy.
“I’ve been meaning to see my own kids, but they are currently in Cebu so I really have to plan when to visit. In the meantime, I’m glad to have met these children, kasi parang nakalaro ko na rin ang mga anak ko,” the Kapuso star shared.
Meanwhile, the students of Wawa National High School in Rodriguez, Rizal welcomed Meant To Be starrer Sef Cadayona with screams as he entered their campus last March 14. The students claimed to be avid fans of his primetime show and he expressed his gratitude for the support they’ve been getting from the viewers.
As annual practice, he celebrated his birthday by giving back, and this year he donated electric fans to the school. These Kapuso stars enjoy the fulfilment of giving back and they hope that their followers see them as a good example in inspiring compassion for many people.
