Homegrown retail and supermarket chain – Felcris Group of Companies together with its brands Davao Central Warehouse Club and Davao Central Convenience Store initiated an advocacy for youth development as part of the company’s way of giving back to the community for supporting the Felcris chain throughout the years.
This activity marks the beginning of the Felcris Group of Companies’ long term goal by providing a venue for the youth to showcase their skills and represent their schools and reinvigorate the school spirit through a healthy interactive inter-school competition.
Competitions play a role in motivating students and offer a chance for the participants to gain substantial experience to showcase skills and talent and encourage students to develop and adopt innovative techniques to enhance their skills. The company’s vision is to engage the schools to support their representing teams, not only by endorsing their official dance team but also to cheer and uplift the school pride of each participating schools.
To make the competition more exciting and to offer additional rewards to the school participants and its official dance teams, the Felcris Group will be giving away P300,000 to the winning team and to the school, additional fun activities, consolation and raffle prizes up to P1M await the school participants, the Felcris shoppers and event attendees as this is the company’s first ever major event.
The target participants of the Felcris inter-school street dance competition are senior high school and college dance teams. All schools in Davao and its nearby cities are invited to join and register as early as September to allow the school teams to prepare for the street-dance competition. The competition is set to be on the first weekend of December 2018.
