Duterte-CMO, IBP renew rivalry

Team Duterte-CMO came out firing to clobber IBP Davao, 96-78, in the opening game of their 2018 basketball friendly series on Friday at the Genesis 88 Gym.

Sec. Christopher “Bong” Go fired 38 points while Anthony Tesoro and Glenn Escandor sizzled in a backup role as Team Duterte took off where it left off to pull away with the win.

Tesoro poured in 21 points as Escandor banked in 11 as the two backstop Go’s performance to provide Team Duterte a 1-0 lead.

Go, the sweet-shooting special assistant to President Rodrigo Duterte, shot eight treys en route to another remarkable showing.

Armand Dioso paced with 22 points for IBP Davao. Chok Cadiogan had 19.

IBP trailed the entire game and never had a chance to set the pace.

Team Duterte took a good punch early with barrage of three pointers and managed to sustain the rest of the way to seal the win.
