More than 200 notable women leaders, public officials, athletes and sports leaders of the country are set to gather for the launching of the Philippine Sports Commission Women’s Sports Congress on June 14 and 15 at the Century Park Hotel in Manila.
PSC Commissioner Celia Kiram will spearhead the two-day conference that will tackle on the importance of “Women in Sports”, as well as the agency’s role in the development and formation of Filipino women.
“Sports for Change” will also be discussed in the program headed by renowned International Executive Communication Coach Gabriela Mueller from Switzerland.
“The PSC not only encourages women to play, but also to speak for change. That is why we are looking forward to gather our women leaders for this event,” said Kiram.
The Women’s Sports Congress is under the country’s Gender and Development Plans and Programs for this year.
Kiram was previously invited by the Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade together with ABC International Development to share the agency’s role in women in sports during the Women in News and Sports training seminar at Makati Diamond Residences last Monday.
