A sellout field came to answer the starting gun of the reinvented Hunat Dabaw 6 Glow Run For A Cause of The Royal Mandaya Hotel.
TRMH President and CEO Glenn Y. Escandor fired off the starting field at dusk on Sunday which turned up like a sea of flickering fireflies.
The fun run had some serious running too and long distance ace Sonny Wagdos was there to spank his class in the premier 10-kilometer race for men. Dante Baay finished second while Arlan Arbus came in third.
In the distaff side, Bevian Avergonzado turned back Daymie Rose Jaro for the title. Carah Marie Cortez completed the podium finish.
In the 5-K men’s race, Elmer Bartolo topped the race with George Andrade taking second place and Jimboy Lugay third. Andrea Anabelle Diquia took the women’s 5-K crown ahead of second placer Dianne Mae Memoracion and Sharmaine Yonson. Fritz Lataco took the men’s 3-K title over Mark Daban who arrived second and Chiong Cain who checked in third. Angelica Villanueva topped the 3-K for women beating May Ann Edayan and Jennifer Jan Quia who came in second and third in that order.
This year’s race is dedicated to the campaign against heart disease through the GMA Kapuso Foundation which partners with TRMH for the second year running.
The race fired off at 4:30 p.m. and ran through the North side of the city.
