622 AND COUNTING  Huge field, tight race expected in Eaglemasters Golf 

13With two days before tee off, a massive field awaits the 10th edition of the prestigious Davao Eaglemasters Inc. Open Golf Tournament which will be played under a unique tri-course format.

As of Wednesday, Davao Eaglemasters Inc. president Leo Abellera Magno said there are 622 players officially registered for the tournament which tees off tomorrow (Friday, September 14) at the Rancho Palos Verdes Golf and Country Club, Apo Golf and Country Club and the South Pacific Golf and Country Club.

“We’re expecting a huge turnout and a very exciting weekend of golf,” Magno told Edge Davao.

Participants will vie for the individual and team titles and a whopping raffle bonanza and hole-in-one prizes.

Up for grabs are titles in the Championship Flight for golfers with handicaps 0 to 4, Flight A for 4.1 to 8, Flight B for 8.1 to 14, Flight C for 14.1 to 21 and Seniors for golfers aged 55 years old and above.

In the team event, a team is composed of five players with the top four scores counting in each round.

All participants whether in the team or individual will play 18 holes of golf at all three courses in the 54-hole event.

Lucky scorers of a hole-in-one on designated par 3 holes will take home a brand new Toyota Vios sedan, a P100,000 cash bonanza, television and a motorcycle. A Toyota Vios is likewise up for grabs in the raffles for all participants who are present during the awarding rites at the RMC Event Center on September 16 at 6:00 in the evening.

A Welcome Cocktails and Distribution of Giveaways will be held on tomorrow at the Davao Eaglemasters Driving Range at the Davao Crocodile Park.
