IBPAP, CloudSwyft launch e-learning platform

MANILA — The Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) and CloudSwyft Global Systems, Inc. jointly launched an online learning platform aimed at raising the competence level of the country’s IT and business process outsourcing (ITBPO) workforce.

The IBPAP Learning Switch portal provides workplace technology courses in eight learning tracks such as Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, DevOps — a software development methodology, Cloud Administration, Modern IT Support, Entry Level Modern Software Development, Front End Web Development, and Other Professional Courses.

These technology courses are said to be vital in the industry’s target to advance the skills of ITBPO employees, with emerging demands in the global industry.

“Human Capital is one of the key priorities we have identified in our Roadmap 2022. It’s also one of enabling conditions that will fuel our industry’s growth trajectory for 2022,” IBPAP President and Chief Executive Officer Rey Untal said on Wednesday.

“With this, IBPAP has developed several programs focused on upskilling and reskilling our workforce to ensure that they can adapt to the ongoing digital transformation. Programs such as this will aid the industry’s pivot to higher value jobs and services,” Untal added.

Subscribers to the IBPAP Learning Switch have the option to acquire globally-recognized certificates issued and verified by Microsoft. They can also choose to take the full Microsoft Professional Program Master Certificate. IBPAP made this available to IBPAP members and affiliates at a discounted price.

CloudSwyft deploys the technology courses developed by Microsoft, in partnership with universities and subject-matter experts.

CloudSwyft is one of the Asia’s leading Learning-as-a-Service Microsoft partner, with learning portals for various universities and companies in Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines.

It has more than 160 technology courses for different levels of learners.

It certified more than 500 individuals last year.

“Through our partnership with CloudSwyft, we hope to reach and encourage more Filipinos to take the initiative to learn and improve themselves. We have provided the necessary tools for them to succeed in the IT-BPM industry and we look forward to them taking advantage of this opportunity,” Untal said.
