Waterfront Insular Hotel’s Pizzaiolo restaurant features a new selection of sliced and whole cakes to satisfy every bit of your dessert cravings. Created by Executive Chef Victor Barangan and Pastry Chef Roche Audeji, each item has more than enough components to create different tastes and textures in every bite.
Tablea Moist Cake
Devilishly decadent, their signature take on this classic treat is definitely a must-try for the chocolate lover. The tablea, with hints of salted egg and caramel, lends a deeper flavor to an otherwise ordinary chocolate cake. This seven-inch cake recipe is also one that’s especially moist and tastes even more delicious when warm.
A word that connotes something delicately pleasing, the Chocolate ‘Delice’ is dark and dreamy, and combines the perfect blend of chocolate, coffee mousse and rum. Layered with chocolate-y goodness, its texture is fudgy and chewy at the same time, with a bittersweet, glossy finish.
Dulce de Leche
Its name translating to “sweet from milk”, ‘Dulce de Leche’ is a caramel sauce made by simmering milk and sugar until the mixture thickens into a spread. While one can use it as a dip or a pastry filling, having this caramel topping on layers of vanilla is pure decadence.
