TWO farmers and a farmers’ group in the Davao region bagged the National Gawad-Saka awards, and received their awards last December 13 from President Benigno Aquino in Malacañang.
The Department of Agriculture recently named the Gawad-Saka awardees from the Davao region to include lady farmer Anna Cagulada of Dujali, Davao del Norte who was cited as the outstanding rice farmer in the country.
Aside from being hands on in her farm, Cagulada also functions as a public servant being a barangay kagawad in her hometown.
