The Economic Team led by Finance Secretary Margarito Teves and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) will hold an economic briefing on 17 December 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Grand Ballroom of The Marco Polo Davao, the investor relations office (IRO) said.
The Economic Team is comprised of the secretaries of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Energy (DOE) and the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA).
Anchored on the theme “The Philippines: Challenges and Opportunities in a Global Rebound”, the briefing will focus on the plans and programs of the Economic Team and the Bangko Sentral in the remaining months of the Administration.
A press conference will also be held before the briefing at the Sarangani Room at 12 noon.
“The briefing will also be a good venue for the Davao business community to interact and raise their concerns directly to the Economic Team,” IRO executive director Claro Fernandez said.
Davao is the last stop of the Economic Team and the BSP. The delegation has been to Dagupan, Baguio , Laguna, Laoag, Clark and Cebu.
