Metrolifestyle celebrates Christmas

Christmas Season is just a few days away!  Sans extravagant Christmas parties, MetroLifestyle Fitness Center & Spa celebrates in advance with two simple and meaningful parties for its Fitness Members and employees. 
December 16 marked a new brand of bonding with Fitness Members at the KARAOKE NIGHT – Christmas Party, held at Krua Thai-Authentic Thai Restaurant.  Karaoke Masters of the night were Corbett Alforque, Nash Villa and Fritz Freire, which proved to be a riot-of-a-trio. 
Krua Thai served its sumptuous Thai-buffet menu and extended to the rest of the night with free-flowing drinks, flavored vodka and SanMig Light.
The night was full and alive from entertainment to entertainment in the tradition of a Karaoke bar.  Games included the Singing Bee, the favorite ice-breaker Hep-hep Hurray and Couple Duets, which was a real hit among real-life partners as the night served as a “date.”   Winning participants received gift certificates courtesy of SPONSORS.
After the games, Ms. Gemma Obias continued to wow the guests with her superb sing and dance renditions, which opened the non-stop disco all through the night.  It was indeed a night of singing, dancing, making new friends and celebrating love-lives.
Meanwhile, MetroLifestyle opted for a 3-in-1 Christmas Party for its employees with due respect to the people affected by the recent catastrophe hitting the country.  It was a Fun Run for A Cause – Team Building – and Christmas Party in one event last Sunday, December 20, 2009. 
Employees hit the road going to People’s Park at 6 o’clock in the morning after a brief warm up exercise lead by MetroLifestyle Fitness Instructors.  Part of the games was to find which group each employee belongs and go back to MetroLifestyle Parking Area together as one group.   A simple breakfast of kape’t tinapay was served, and a line-up of group games followed.
Yells and cheers, Pinoy Henio, Polo relay, Card relay, Hep-hep-Hurray, Tomato-in-Cheeks relay, Eggplant relay, Planting Rice, Coins in Coffee Powder relay, and Army walk were the exciting games participated by employees.  These games gave employees a chance to meet and work with different people from Bo’s Coffee Club, Krua Thai restaurant and MetroLifestyle.
Champion group who garnered the most points went to Group 5 led by Fitness Instructor Corbett Alforque making them Php5,000.00 richer.  All other groups got Php2,000.00 each as Consolation Prizes.  While, Special Awards went to the Top 3 Best in Christmas Costume – Group Fitness Instructors Ms. Dolly Chuim, Ms. Joy Olimba and newbie Ms. Joanne Cruz. 
Christmas Banquet was served for lunch ala-boodle fight.  Each group shared lunch in a spread of banana leaves and traditional kamayan.
Gift items courtesy of SPONSORING MERCHANT PARTNERS were given away in a Raffle Draw.  The traditional exchange gift capped the Christmas morning celebration, and each employee went home with a grocery items as a gift from the MetroLifestyle Management. 
These advanced celebrations set the mood for a bright and bountiful Christmas Day!
Also, in the tradition of gift giving and blessing at Christmas Season, MetroLifestyle collected toys, pledges and other items for the benefit of Rescue-A-Child, Panacan Outreach Program and the Badjao Foundation at Matina Aplaya.
