Money. Money is any form of token, coin, banknote, used as a medium of exchange, and stamped by state authority. Without money nothing goes.
Some people have much money to burn! I met some of them around the world. Every time I observed them, I felt that their money was going down the drain — but they didn’t seem to care!
Yes, money talks! The more money you have, the more you might become avaricious. Every time we have to dig deeper into our pockets, we might start longing to be like those people who don’t see the difference between a 500 and 1,000 note. I am not rich, and honestly, I wouldn’t like to be so. Sometimes, wealth is abundance, opulence and affluence. Affluence easily becomes influence. Many times bad influence… .
Dyed-in-the-wool millionaires over lose their view of reality. They even can’t see the horizon, which could be the demarcation line of their real estate. Money calms down! Sure! No doubt! We all need our income to survive for our daily needs – and maybe, even a little bit more. There are a lot of people struggling through life who work like slaves for a pitiful daily minimum….
If you’re rich, you may always be on top. But believe me, you’ll also get some very unwelcome and mostly unacceptable companions — such as loneliness, so-called friends, free loaders and parasites.
There are innumerable sayings about money. I am sure, you may have already them: Money can give you a beautiful, bed but never sleep. Money can buy flattery, but never respect.
Remember: our last earthly dress has no more pockets – but the remembrance of how we acted and lived together with our fellow creatures in business and our whole daily life will remain forever. With money we might be able to let the devil dance, but money alone doesn’t make us happy. Money kills more people and friendships than a cudgel!

Last but not the least: Germany’s environment minister Norbert Roettgen has spoken out in favor of a phasing out of nuclear energy as soon as possible – but much to the annoyance of the Free Democrats. He has stirred up indeed a heated debate in my home country’s governing coalition by saying that no effort should be wasted to replace nuclear technology as fast as possible. Kudos Sir. That’s also my opinion ever since a very long time ago!
