You don’t get anything for nothing in life. This is the main motto of our life. This is the epigraph of our biography – whether we like it or not.
According to the book of Genesis, after God created the universe in six days, he rested on the seventh day. In other words, He took a vacation. So, if God rested after working for the same period of time, there is no reason why man, who is finite and limited in his physical strength, shoud not take a vacation, too.
Hurray, doing nothing is really something. Maybe for a week or 10 days I take a break from my teaching at the USEP, and from doing business. No appointments, no work. Just relax and unwind! Doing nothing is really something after a period of really hard work Also for our children: especially during school vacation’s time off means just time off. Lazy summer days – yeah, we’re not on duty! How cool such days could be: stay outside and do absolutely nothing structured. Go for walks, ride bikes early in the morning, go to the beach, picnic in the park. Or stay home drawing, playing games, writing, and reading the last forgotten old books…
I still remember, even now those few lazy summer days, sitting somewhere under a big tree, enjoying a Popsicle, getting all sticky, and running away from the bees. Those (old) lazy summer days even turned into lazy winter days in my home country Germany, and shaped and characterized my whole (especially professional) life.
So guys, enjoy some lazy summer days right now, especially if you’re stressed, overwhelmed or even depressed. You really deserve it! It’s a rest from occupation or business. Relaxation, meditation and reinvigoration are badly needed. Life, affected by the “burnout syndrome’ needs to reanimate with energy!

Last but not least – on the spot: Germany’s national rail operator Deutsche Bahn (DB) has signed an agreement in Abu Dhabi that could lead to a deal worth billions of EURO’s to build a railway in the United Arab Emirates. Congratulations – although I wish, it could have been a deal between Germany and the Philippines.
