No disruptions in PAL spin-off

Philippine Airlines will continue its operations, assuring its customers and passengers of uninterrupted service during the implementation of a restructuring program that involves the spin-off of three non-core units – Inflight Catering Services; Airport Services (including ground handling, passenger handling, cargo terminal/cargo handling and ramp handling); and Call Center Reservations.
All domestic and international flights will be operated according to published schedules. All PAL office and facilities in the Philippines and abroad will remain open to serve customers. All accredited travel agents will continue to sell and honor PAL tickets.
Functions of the three PAL units/offices will be transferred to selected service providers to ensure a smooth transition and avoid any disruption in PAL’s operations.
PAL meanwhile will be giving its affected workers a separation package equal to one month salary for every year of service. They will also get generous non-wage benefits including free PAL tickets depending on their length of service.
