Hedcor takes part in Brigada Eskwela 2010

As a way of giving back to its host communities, AboitizPower wholly-owned subsidiary Hedcor Inc., in collaboration with the Aboitiz Foundation, last week repainted the classrooms of the Catalunan Pequeño National High School in line with the Department of Education’s annual Brigada Eskwela in time for the school opening this June.
Aside from the repainting job, Hedcor also installed window grills to secure the classrooms. Minor repairs and improvements were also done to the school building.
“Taking part in this activity provides us the opportunity to inspire the students in the fulfillment of their education”, Hedcor’s Talomo Grid manager Nuel Medelo said.
Evelyn Magno, principal of the Catalunan Pequeño National High School, expressed appreciation for Hedcor’s full support in developing and improving their school.
Catalunan Pequeño National High School is one of the host schools of the five Talomo hydropower plants owned by Hedcor, Inc.
Schools within the barangays hosting the hydropower generating facilities of Hedcor periodically receive grants such as financial assistance to its students, computer donations, and funds for construction and refurbishment of school buildings. [Angelica Aquino]
