The month of April is almost done, which means goodbye sun, halo-halo, two-piece swimsuits, sunbathing and say hello to the wet season. But before we start smelling some flowers that blooms together with the first fall of rain from the sky, let us conclude what happened these last few days of April.
Smoking hot ladies wearing two piece and men showing off their hard-earned six pack abs melted Pearl Farm Beach Resort last April 10, 2010 as we jumpstart our Summer Fun @ the Farm, this year’s MetroLifestyle summer outing. The Pearl Farm Beach Resort is a mere 45-minute boat ride from the wharf. A sweet-escape for the Dabawenyos who wants to spend the long weekend somewhere isolated from the busy city yet very accessible. It has one of the most picturesque mountain, sea and underwater view. Of course with occasions such as this, picture taking is so much like a ritual especially to Filipinos who really like to pose and say “cheese” in front of almost any kinds of lenses.
With all of these wonderful things around us, why not use it to be the stage of our photo contest? So to prolong the fun even after the outing MetroLifestyle challenged the participants to submit their photos through Facebook as a photo contest entry. The picture must include them having fun around Pearl Farm Beach Resort.
Entries were submitted and judged. Finally, eleven photos manage to swoop to the next round. Photos were posted on the MetroLifestyle Facebook account and the entry owners were tagged. Everyone else was asked to vote for their favorite picture by “liking” it. Some campaigned and asked support from their friends and facebook contacts.
All in all, after April 25, 2010 the friendly competition finally ended. PowerCycling Instructor and MetroLifestyle pioneering member Louie Pintor won the photo contest by garnering the highest percentage of the total tally of vote equivalent to 29.26%. He will enjoy an overnight stay for two in the Balay House with boat transfers, courtesy of Pearl Farm Beach Resort.
Some of the photo contest finalists are Bethany McIntosh (3.59%), Cham David (15.74%), Cindy Tolentino (15.74), DR Estillore (3.70%), Joanna Cruz (19.44%), Nathan Padua (2.22%), Marisse Go (3.70%), Julianne Cosning (5.93%), Julia Mcintosh (5.93%) and Gloria Weesit (5.19%).
Photo entries will be printed by Canon on A-R photo size and will be distributed to the participants as souvenirs. Canon is an imaging company with an extensive product line, but the company is more popular with their quality digital cameras and photo printing. You can check their products and services online at http://www.canon.com.ph. The event is also supported by Paperklone Prints, a company that prints high quality pre-event tarpaulin and poster ads.
