If you are in business you need to master a very special universal language. You must be able to handle any type of person in all kinds of situations: Local or international transactions, dealing with government or corporate VIPs, product launches, signing ceremonies, ribbon-cutting events, conferences, all kinds of business meetings, social or office events, planning sessions and a lot more.
A good friend of mine told me about a very special program: The Center of Global Best Practices in collaboration with the International Chamber of Commerce will be holding a seminar entitled, “Best Practices in Business Protocol” on September 17, 2010, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Edsa Shangri-La Hotel, Mandaluyong City.
If my time allows, I wish to attend this seminar, too, because this special program will feature Ret. Ambassador Jose Abeto Zaide, the former chief of protocol of the Department of Foreign Affairs. He has been assigned as ambassador to Germany. A career diplomat with a solid experience, especially in diplomacy.
The program will also feature Rizabel Cloma-Santos. She will talk about her experiences as the wife of former chief of protocol in Malacanang and the current ambassador to Vietnam.
Interested? Please contact program leader Jessica Ogang through email at jessica@cgbp.org. Pre-registration is required.
I am pretty sure we business people can succeed better with the right business language, also called PROTOCOL.

German Central Bank executive Thilo Sarrazin has stirred fresh controversy over the last weekend with discriminatory remarks concerning religious minorities. “All Jews share a particular gene. That’s why they are different from other peoples!”. Wow, strong tobacco. Shame on you, Mr. Sarrazin. You should resign from the board of the German Bundesbank.
