Developer of the seven-storey Spanish-inspired condominiums of Magallanes Residences, DMC Urban Property Development Inc. (DMCI) showcased its latest project, the Hacienda community, during its Investors’ Night last February 15.
Mindanao general manager Nora Gutierrez said the Hacienda community located at Catalunan Pequeňo, Davao City has a total land area of nine hectares with almost four percent covered in its first phase of development. She added that their application for phase two is on-going which will cover five hectares.
A modern version of hacienda, this medium high community has bungalow-type of houses with six models namely Ebony, Mahogany, Chestnut, Rosewood, Oak and Walnut. While Oak and Walnut house models have the biggest size with 127.27 square meters (sq m) gross floor area, other models have an average total land area of 80 sq m.
Gutierrez said out of 80 sq m, 48.80 sq m are covered, while the remaining lot will be planted to fruit-bearing trees such as durian, mangosteen, santol, and lanzones, among others, which will be owned by the buyers as well.
DMCI aims to build 40 houses in Hacienda this year out of its total capacity of 120 houses. Gutierrez said most buyers, of either condo or housing units, were Dabawenyos while others were from nearby towns and cities.
“Modesty aside, in the way we deliver and the way we finish, I suppose, we have the edge. I would receive positive feedbacks from sales people about the quality (of products),” she said
Meanwhile, a third building will rise in Magallanes Residences–the Toledo, which had been recently issued a development permit. DMCI is still applying for a license to sell the new condo units.
Gutierrez said its first two buildings, Valencia and Barcelona, are fully occupied. Another DMCI property, Palmetto’s Place, she added, also is 100 percent complete.
