DCWD shifts to paperless billing

Davao City Water District announces its transition to a paperless billing system with Text Bill thru SMS, E-mail Bill thru email, and Online Bill thru the DCWD website. Customers may choose among these options depending on their preferences.

For the TEXT BILL AND E-MAIL BILL, water bills are sent to the customers’ registered mobile numbers or e-mails during the monthly billing as scheduled. Customers who already registered to the Text Bill and/or E-mail Bill will receive their monthly water bill via text message or e-mail and stop receiving the paper water bill effective in the September 2024 billing.

Other customers who have not yet registered are encouraged to enroll by submitting their account number, ID of the account holder, and working mobile number (registered per the SIM Registration Act or RA 11934) or email thru the following:

● email (dcwdcustomerinfo@gmail.com)

● chat (DCWD website or www.facebook.com/officialDCWD)

● online (DCWD’s website under Online Services)

● walk-in (Matina, Bajada, and Toril from Mondays to Fridays)

● landline (235-3293)

● text (0927-798-8966, 0908-441-0653, and 0925-511-3293)

Customer submitting via landline or text must submit a copy of the ID of the account holder to dcwdcustomerinfo@gmail.com to complete the transaction. For any changes in mobile number or e-mail, customers must notify DCWD to continue receiving their water bill.

The ONLINE BILL serves as an additional platform where customer may access their latest water bills anytime and anywhere by creating an account in the DCWD website (www.davao-water.gov.ph).

This shift marks a step towards enhancing customer convenience by providing instant access to billing information and timely notifications of account updates, while supporting environment-friendly initiatives to reduce paper wastes. (Kianna Marie A. Mendoza)
