Davao City Water District advises the public of a water service interruption from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM of Friday, October 4, 2024 affecting some areas served by Cabantian Water Supply System.
Specific affected areas to experience no water are portion of Cabantian-Indangan Road (from corner DCWD Cabantian Reservoir to corner Malagamot Road), portion of Malagamot Road (from Purok Sta Cruz to Palm Daycare Center) and some Indangan areas (Purok San Andres, Villa Alevida Subdivision, Purok Sta. Cruz, Magradeco Village, Sto. Niño Village, Nagkahiusa Village, Purok San Isidro, and Purok San Ignacio).
DCWD has to temporarily shut off the water supply in the affected areas to give way to the tapping of the newly installed pipeline to DCWD’s existing pipeline for the mainline improvement at Magradeco Village in Barangay Indangan. Once completed, this will allow for the accommodation of additional service connections and improve the water pressure in the affected areas.
The DCWD management asks for the understanding and cooperation of would-be-affected customers and advises them to store enough water prior to the schedule. Water supply may be restored earlier if DCWD’s work goes smoothly or later if unforeseen problems arise.
DCWD conducts flushing after service works are completed. However, once water is restored, customers are advised to open all faucets and allow water to run for at least two minutes. While doing this, do not drink tap water immediately. Water may be boiled as an additional safety precaution.
