PAL boosts Australia-Philippines network to 22 weekly flights; offers daily flights from Brisbane by Oct. 27

Philippine Airlines (PAL) strengthens its Australian presence with an offering of 22 weekly flights to the Philippines starting next month.

PAL is expanding its popular Brisbane-Manila service to daily flights, introducing a seventh weekly nonstop frequency from Brisbane to Manila from October 27, 2024.

The Philippine flag carrier now has the widest network of flights from four cities in Australia to the Philippines, offering more routes than any other airline.

In addition to the daily flights from Brisbane, PAL operates daily flights from Sydney, five weekly flights from Melbourne and three weekly flights from Perth to Manila.

“We at Philippine Airlines are excited to welcome Australian tourists, business travelers and balikbayans onboard our daily flights from Brisbane to Manila, and likewise on our extensive network of nonstop flights from Sydney, Melbourne and Perth,” said PAL President and Chief Operating Officer Capt. Stanley K. Ng. “We are poised to intensify efforts to promote tourism between Australia and the Philippines, as we invite more travelers to discover the wonders of our beautiful country of more than 7,000 islands and the renowned friendliness and hospitality of the Filipino people.”

PAL’s Brisbane and Perth routes are flown with Airbus A321neo aircraft, while Sydney and Melbourne services utilize widebody A330s. All flights feature full-flat Business Class seats and seatback inflight entertainment screens in all classes.

Upon arriving in Manila, travelers from Australia can connect to PAL’s extensive domestic, regional and transpacific route network, allowing them to fly conveniently to Philippine destinations such as Cebu, Davao, Caticlan (Boracay) and Puerto Princesa, as well as to destinations such as Taiwan, Incheon, and Tokyo.

On their return flight to Australia, PAL business class passengers and frequent flyers can enjoy the new PAL Mabuhay Lounge at Terminal 1 of Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport. Designed by Atelier Almario, the expansive PAL lounge provides a delightful and comfortable experience for dining, preflight work and relaxation, and is open to business class travelers as well as Mabuhay Miles Elite, Premier Elite, and Million Miler passengers.

PAL has partnered with Wamos Air for the temporary use of two leased Airbus A330-200 aircraft on flights from Sydney and Melbourne until January 2025. The lease arrangement was updated recently to allow PAL to use more of its own flight attendants onboard the A330-200s. Said PAL President Capt. Ng: “We are happy to note that PAL flights using the leased aircraft will now feature our very own Philippine Airlines cabin crew, the airline’s pride and joy, ensuring the best of safety and service on board these flights within the Asia-Pacific region.”

Philippine Airlines continues to enhance services and expand its network, reinforcing its bid to be a key player in international aviation with flights to 36 destinations in Asia, North America, Australia and the Middle East, as well as 32 cities in the Philippines.
