Fifty Davao City Water District employees participated in the tree planting activity on November 15, 2024 at Mt. Talomo-Lipadas Watershed, specifically at Sitio Skyline, Brgy. Manuel Guianga as part of the Davao City Water Consciousness Month celebration.
A total of 350 forest and fruit tree seedlings including Sagimsim (𝑆𝑦𝑧𝑦𝑔𝑖𝑢𝑚 𝐵𝑟𝑒𝑣𝑖𝑠𝑡𝑦𝑙𝑢𝑚), Bogo (𝐺𝑎𝑟𝑢𝑔𝑎 𝐹𝑙𝑜𝑟𝑖𝑏𝑢𝑛𝑑𝑎), and Avocado (𝑃𝑒𝑟𝑠𝑒𝑎 𝐴𝑚𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑐𝑎𝑛𝑎) were planted. The employees were assisted by DCWD’s community partners.
This initiative is part of DCWD’s Integrated Watershed Management Program that protects and rehabilitates Davao City’s watersheds.
