Call for Applications: DCWD’s College Scholarship Programs for SY 2025-2026

Davao City Water District opens 7 slots for the DCWD College Scholarship for Indigenous Peoples (IPs) and 4 slots for the DCWD Academic Excellence Scholarship for the school year 2025-2026 to eligible students aspiring to obtain a college degree from the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) (Obrero and Mintal Campus).

Applications are accepted starting January until May 30, 2025.

DCWD College Scholarship for Indigenous Peoples (IPS): 7 slots

Who Can Apply?

– A senior high school graduate with an average grade of at least 80%

– Continuing student currently enrolled in college with an average grade of at least 80% from the previous semester prior to application

– A member of an Indigenous Cultural Community or a Muslim residing in the watershed areas of Toril, Tugbok, Baguio, Calinan, or Marilog districts

What are the requirements?

1. Notice of Admission to the Program (NOAP) from USeP

2. Report Card for Senior High School graduate or Report of Grades from the previous semester for continuing college student

3. Tribal Certification

4. Barangay Clearance

5. Barangay Endorsement

6. Certificate of Confirmation (COC) from the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) or National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) certifying membership to an IP/tribal group and that the tribal chieftain is registered with NCIP/NCMF

7. Certified true copy of annual household Income Tax Return (ITR) (not exceeding PhP120,000.00)

8. Photocopy of Birth Certificate (PSA Copy)

9. One recent 2×2 photo (preferably in IP costume)

10. Readiness Test for Colleges and Universities (RTCU) and with a ‘High’ rating in the Quality Index if enrolled in the Engineering Program

DCWD Academic Excellence Scholarship: 4 slots

Who Can Apply?

– A senior high school graduate from a school based in Davao City of the previous school year upon application;

– With an average grade of at least 85%

– Part of the top 20% of the graduating class

What are the requirements?

1. Notice of Admission to the Program (NOAP) from USEP

2. Senior High School Report Card

3. Certification that the applicant belongs to the top 20% of the graduating class signed by the school head

4. Certified true copy of annual household Income Tax Return (ITR) (not exceeding PhP120,000.00)

5. Readiness Test for Colleges and Universities (RTCU) and with a ‘High’ rating in the Quality Index

6. Photocopy of Birth Certificate (PSA Copy)

7. One recent 2×2 photo

8. Barangay Clearance

9. Barangay Endorsement

Benefits

Both scholarships provide:

– Transportation allowance

– Meals allowance

– Boarding house allowance

– Uniform / textbook allowance

– Inventive for scholars who qualify as Dean’s Listers

– Thesis allowance (graduating year)

– Cash incentive upon graduation

Applicants are required to first comply with the qualifying requirements of the University of Southeastern Philippines (USEP). Once eligible, they may proceed to the DCWD Community Relations Division Office located at the 6th floor of the DCWD Matina Office to fill out the application form.
