Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct scheduled power interruptions on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, affecting customers in different parts of Davao City.
To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal set-up will be for another 45 minutes anytime between 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.. These are necessary to facilitate substation works at ERA Substation.
Specifically affected are customers from Bajada area — from Bajada Suites going to Inspiria including Medical School drive and portions of Circumferential Road, Marfori, NCCC VP and nearby establishments, entire Obrero area up to convenience store along N. Torres Street, portions of Cabaguio and Villamor Streets up to Porras Elementary School, Agdao.
Also affected are those from J.P. Laurel Avenue — from Gaisano Mall going to V. Mapa Street up to Tavera Street crossing Arellano Street, from Gaisano Mall to J.P. Laurel Avenue going to Garcia Heights, Bacaca Road, El Rio Vista Village and nearby areas up to Diversion Road entrance to Juliville Subdivision, from Guzman Street back of Gaisano Mall going to Guerrero Street up to DPWH XI Office, and Gaisano Mall.
Meanwhile, a 6-hour power interruption will be conducted from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to facilitate pole relocation activity along Palma Gil Street. Specifically affected are customers from Davao Times Trading along Palma Gil Street going to portions of Padre Gomez Street, from Oyo Humbertos Hotel to JB Tech Marketing up to portions of A. Mabini Street, including My Pad Dormitel.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
