Davao City Water District advises the public of a water service interruption from 6:00 PM of May 24, 2025 until 6:00 AM of May 25, 2025 affecting some areas served by Talandang-Riverside Water Supply System (WSS).
Specific affected areas to experience no water are the entire Purok 1 Balengaeng, Campo Cienco Road Km. 22, Purok 1 San Juan Balingaeng, Purok 8-A Los Amigos, and Purok 7 Los Amigos.
Water supply has to be temporarily shut off in the affected areas to give way to the tapping of a newly installed pipeline to DCWD’s existing pipeline for the pipeline expansion along Campo Cienco Road Km. 22 in Brgy. Los Amigos. Once completed, this will allow for the accommodation of additional service connections in Purok 2-A, Purok 2-B, and Purok 3-A in Brgy. Los Amigos.
The DCWD management asks for the understanding and cooperation of would-be-affected customers and advises them to store enough water prior to the schedule. Water supply may be restored earlier if DCWD’s works go smoothly or later if unforeseen problems arise.
DCWD conducts flushing after service works are completed. However, once water is restored, customers are advised to open all faucets and allow water to run for at least two minutes. While doing this, do not drink tap water immediately. Water may be boiled as an additional safety precaution.
