DCWD Advisory: Notice of Scheduled Water Service Interruption
WHEN: Schedule 1: Sunday, August 31, 2025 from 12:01 AM to 2:00 AM (2 hours)
Schedule 2: Monday, September 1, 2025 from 1:00 AM to 3:00 AM (2hours)
WHERE: All areas served by Binugao-Sirawan Water Supply System:
Entire Binugao and Sirawan
Some Toril areas: Apla Village, Babisa Village, Bangoy Compound, Dacudao Tambakan, Davao Fish Port Complex, Doña Rosa Subd., Gutierrez Village, Inland Subd., Kalambuan sa Katawhan HOA, Kasama Village, Kristina Homes II, Lizada Beach, Samantha Homes, Sitio Tambakan, and Villa Grande Heights Subd.
WHY: DCWD’s production wells under Toril, Binugao, and Lubogan water supply systems (WSS) will be affected by DLPC’s power interruptions on said dates that are needed for the preventive maintenance servicing of DLPC’s Toril Substation.
Although the power cuts are shorter in duration, DCWD needs additional time for re-switching on of the affected facilities, pressure build-up, and line delivery, thus the longer duration of water service interruptions.
Notes:
1) The would-be affected customers are advised to store water in clean and covered containers at least three days before the scheduled water service interruptions.
2) Water supply may be restored earlier if DCWD’s work goes smoothly or later if unforeseen problems arise.
3) DCWD conducts flushing after service works are completed. However, once water is restored, customers are advised to open all faucets and allow water to run for at least two minutes. Do not drink tap water immediately but if needed, boil water beforehand as safety precaution.
