The Provincial Government of Cotabato has turned over another 100 rescue vehicles to barangays across the province during a ceremony held Friday at the Provincial Capitol Grounds in Amas, Kidapawan City.
The newly distributed units will benefit barangays in the towns of Makilala, Antipas, Arakan, Kidapawan City, President Roxas, Kabacan, Banisilan, M’lang, Tulunan, and Pigcawayan. Each Serbisyong Totoo Rescue Vehicle (STRV), valued at P855,420 each, was provided to strengthen local capabilities in responding to emergencies. Several provincial government offices also received units.
Governor Emmylou T. Mendoza personally led the turnover and reiterated the province’s commitment to improving public safety at the grassroots level.
The latest distribution follows an earlier turnover of 100 rescue vehicles on October 30, 2025, which are already serving barangays in Alamada, Aleosan, Libungan, Midsayap, Pigcawayan, Pikit, Magpet, Makilala, and Carmen.
Mendoza reminded barangay officials to ensure the proper and responsible use of the air-conditioned rescue vehicles, stressing that their primary purpose is to deliver fast and dependable service to residents.
Barangay leaders welcomed the assistance, expressing gratitude for the improved mobility and emergency support the vehicles will provide.
“Ang barangay namin ay 37 kilometro ang layo mula sa Arakan proper, kaya malaki talaga ang maitutulong nitong rescue vehicle sa residente ng Barangay Kulaman Valley lalo na sa panahon ng pangangailangan,” said Kulaman Valley Chairman Eduardo Saguisabal.
