The five outstanding Dabawenyos receive their Datu Bago awards during the 53rd Conferment of Datu Bago Awards 2025 held at The Royal Mandaya Hotel on Friday evening. This year's awardees are Luis Alfonso Ybañez Aboitiz (posthumous), Perla Pichon Kwan, Maria Antonietta T. Pamintuan, Protacio Tan Tacandong and Josefina Carriedo-Tionko. A special award was also bestowed to Oscar Ong for his unwavering humanitarian service. LEAN DAVAL JR
