CHRISTMAS is just around the corner and people are starting to rush to malls and shops to complete their “to-buy” lists. Unfortunately, partyphiles are a tough crowd to please, and non-partyphiles never know what to buy their favorite party-goers. Here is a guide for all you non-partyphiles.
Sexy Little Thing: Ooh La La by Victoria ’s Secret: This gorgeous scent has notes of Mandarin Orange, Cherry Blossoms, and Vanilla. It is quite light and airy; more importantly, it smells really playful and sweet. Somehow, it makes you think about sweet but naughty little girls. Plus, the name is gorgeous. All partyphiles are bound to like this sweet nasal retreat!
DSquared He Wood: This is the perfect scent for the modern macho man. It smells chic, classy and polished, but a little bit rugged as well. With hints of White Spruce, Amber, Violet leaves, aquatic accord, and Cedar is the best new scent for truly stylish men. The scent lasts really really long, so you don’t have to worry about how you smell even after hours and hours of partying. Give this to your partyphile boyfriend.
David Guetta’s One Love: For the ultimate partyphile who enjoys singing with hot house tunes, this is one sure bet. With popular tracks like Sexy Chick (featuring Akon), When Love Takes Over (featuring the Ex-Destiny’s Child member, Kelly Rowland), and One Love (featuring the honey-dipped voice of Estelle), this CD is definitely worth a spot on your 6-CD player. Give this to anybody who enjoys hot dance music.
Cassette MP3 Player: This mp3 player looks exactly like a cassette tape, giving it a gorgeous retro-feel which is very fasyon right now. It has all the benefits of an mp3 player, but it can actually be played in a normal cassette player. This way, your favorite partyphile can enjoy party music any time, any day, anywhere (even in places where cassette tapes are still used). If you do not own a cassette tape player, it still looks really gorgeous and functions quite well.
LED Shirts: These shirts are gaining popularity in party scenes all over the world. Some partyphiles want all eyes on them, and these shirts give you that exact effect. Choose from several different designs that scream “party!” in a glowing, moving, thumping, image right on the chest. These gorgeously bright shirts are available in multiply sites and even in some malls in the city.
FTLP’s Homebound Planners: These planners are distinctly Dabawenyo, and come in a gorgeously chic package. With shots of nostalgia in between the pages, and some very useful gift certificates, this daily planner is the perfect gift for the uberly-busy social butterfly. Give this to your partyphile friends who can never keep track of all the things they have to do, or all the places they have to go.
Booze: If all else fails, give them a gorgeous bottle of booze. It is safe, delish, and all partyphiles appreciate a good brand of alcohol.
Confession:
Even though you might be tempted to give generic gift certificates to your friends who are hard to buy gifts for, refrain from doing this. Generic gifts just tell the receivers that you do not know them enough to actually buy them a decent gift, or that you did not take time out to try and look for something special for them. No matter who they are, nobody wants to feel this way during the Holidays, so please, please, buy your friends something they are bound to appreciate.
