SUMMER is most everybody’s favorite season as it is characterized by some really hot things: the sun, the sand, the sea, large white sun glasses, uber-sexy bikinis, funky board shorts, super colorful ensembles,, a golden tan, a sizzling summer fling, and exciting events! Naturally, the hottest club around town was the first to celebrate the official start of summer as Metro Lounge held Caliente last March 27, 2010.
Just like its namesake, the party was hot, Hot, HOT as it seemed to take on a life of its own with a carefree vibe, and gorgeous music as only Metro Lounge can deliver. The party’s attendees all received huge glasses of margarita as they started partying to the hot beats served up by one of the city’s most beloved spinners: DJ Yancy. Although DJ Torch was not around at the party, DJ Yancy seemed to be the perfect replacement as he played hot bangin’ tunes that were coupled with cool videos that were shown in television screens inside the Metro Lounge and on one wall in the exterior of the club. Partyphiles surrendered to the call of the dance floor as DJ Yancy dished out hits that seemed to get more and more danceable and upbeat, providing a perfect climax to his gorgeously hot party. To up the summer ante even more, hot fire dancers danced to summer tunes as they entertained the cheering crowd. The party was typical of a summer party: hot, exciting, fun, and carefree; plus some amount of drama ended the night (more on that next week). All things considered, this was definitely the party to start all the other parties for summer 2010.
