Tourism board invites Dabawenyos to celebrate Christmas in Singapore

FANTASTIC Singapore – now more dynamic and dazzling– beckons Dabawenyos this Christmas. Ms Lynelle Seow, Singapore Tourism Board area director for the Philippines and Brunei, told Davao media practitioners last Thursday, that when it comes to Christmas, no destination can be brighter and more festive than Singapore, as it transforms its streets into a starlit Christmas paradise with entertaining performances, dazzling lights and amazing year-end deals in celebration of the annual Christmas in the Tropics.
From November 20-January 2, 2011, Filipinos can take in the breathtaking holiday sights and wonders along Orchard Road and Marina Bay, while enjoying shopping, dining and entertainment deals to make for a truly memorable holiday experience for the family.
Beyond the festive Christmas celebration, Singapore is a story of dazzling change and transformation year-round, with a wide range of new things to discover, events throughout the year and fresh lifestyle offerings to make the Lion City a continuous surprise each and every visit.
Brimming with diversity
This first cosmopolitan city always welcome visitors with a list of choices for an exciting travel experience – from wholesome fun, entertainment, arts and culture, to dining, nature and recreation.  No wonder Singapore’s newest destinations – a continuously growing list to offer visitors a fresh Singapore experience – are always tops on every traveler’s list.
The newly-opened ION Orchard brings together flagship stores of the best international and local brands, making Orchard Road – Singapore’s world’s famous shopping district – a true shopper’s haven.
An iconic landmark that has changed the city’s skyline is the Marina Bay Sands, a multi-million dollar business and entertainment complex that houses Singapore’s newest luxury hotel, world-class casino complex, shopping mall, science museum, state-of-the-art theaters and celebrity chef restaurants.
Atop the Marina Bay Sands Hotel towers is the SkyPark.  Two hundred meters above ground, it is a 1.2-hectare tropical oasis that offers guests a breathtaking view  of the Singapore skyline, a mesmerizing infinity pool and lush landscaped gardens.
In a city that’s always transforming, the dynamic mix of culture, language, arts and architecture continues to offer experiences that are always enriching and unforgettable.  A stopover at the vibrant and colorful shops of Little India and the alleys of Kampong Glam and Chinatown will give one a taste of the rich culture that Singapore is famous for.
