Urbanisimo – Hidden talents no more

by Kenneth K. Ong

We Filipinos are known to the rest of the world thanks to the high level of service we give to anyone and everyone. We are also known for our creative spirit whether it be in singing, dancing, or the arts. And I was fortunate enough to be able to experience that at the AA Group of Company’s Joint Christmas Party.
The party is actually more of a friendly song and dance competition between Antonio’s Bar and Grill Torres and SM Davao, Whistle Top Bar, D’Paragon AA Nestle Distributor, Antonio’s Bistro (Lanang) and their commissary. As soon as the curtains parted at the CAP Auditorium the production numbers just went one after another, each one more spectacular than the last and each one never failing to amaze me and the invited guests.
What is more amazing was the fact that the performers doing all the jumping, dancing, and singing are your next door waitress, cook, or cashier, which goes to show that there is a lot of talent out there hidden in plain sight. You have to give credit to the AA Group of Companies who has the initiative to allow their employees to come together, show off their talents and shine.
And who knows, maybe the next talent show winners might come from this group of deserving individuals, who compete as a team and celebrate life to the fullest.
