Weddings in the Philippines are not as simple as the union of two hearts, more often than not, it is the union of two families, if not of two clans. Thus, it comes as no surprise that preparing a wedding is not a do-it-yourself thing in the country.
Wedding magazines will always be a compulsory accessory to the bride to be during the planning stage, alongside her entourage of wedding organizers, florists, banquet supervisors, designers, and the ever doting best friend who gives her sixpence worth of opinion when the bride asks.
During a recent wedding expo at Abreeza Mall, dubbed as Kasalang Filipino. It was a perfect mix of suppliers that a bride-to-be would want to see under one roof. Some of the top wedding planners were present, showcasing their latest themes and floral arrangements, wedding cake connoisseurs were also there with cakes so beautiful you wouldn’t want to eat it, and the top hotels in the city were all in full attendance.
While the event would have been better with more exhibitors, especially with the wedding gown designers, it was nonetheless a good mix of suppliers.
Lucky are those who are planning of having their wedding in the next six months or so as they have had the opportunity to scout Kasalang Filipino for their suppliers. Their weddings have just turned a notch closer to perfect.
