Even if the weather did not cooperate, the street dancers of the City of Mati were still able to showcase their creativity and enthusiasm to send artistic message in the festival through dancing on Sunday, October 29.
The contingents were not able to perform their final showdown at the Mati Sport Complex as intense rain poured over Davao Region which urged the Festival Execom to cancel the showdown in interest of safety. The judges,execom and coordinators also decided to share the prize at stake to all entries in which 2 winners (Elementary and Secondary) during the preliminary round will get bigger share.
On the other hand, Mati City Mayor Carlo P. Rabat promised to stage a special event on February 2018 for the Final Showdown. The winning team will be sent to join Kadayawan 2018 in Davao City.
“We will still provide you with financial support and all of you are still qualified for the same big prize” said Mayor Carlo.
