After months of renovation, fashion store, Surplus has re-opened its SM City Davao store last August 17.
To adapt with trend, not only in the fashion market, but also with the modern ambience in interior, the renovation was deemed necessary to give their customers a one of a kind shopping experience.
“We wanted to give them a better looking store. There are a lot of customers, they could still see some of the items, but we felt that we can emphasize the beauty of the items if we give the right ambience,” Senior Vice Presidents of the SM Retails, Inc. Ms. Aida B. Dela Cruz during the re-opening of their store during the Kadayawan festival.
Dela Cruz disclosed that they have an in-house visual merchandiser who makes sure that what they have in all their branches are updated pieces.
A new identity may have rebranded — Ms. Dela Cruz says that the well-loved Surplus items are still a treasure trove of great fashion finds. Not to mention, it’s affordable.
Apart from its new interior are affordable finds such trendy tees, shorts, pants, tops, skirts, accessories and novelty items, shoes, and fashionable bags. Most of their items are branded and imported.
They also have signature brands of sportswear items for gym and outdoor rats.
Davao is Surplus’ 57th store nationwide. Davao is their first branch in Mindanao. Aside from they have two in Cagayan de Oro and one in General Santos City.
While they are overwhelmed by Davao’s patronage on their items, a new branch in Davao is being eyed, while a new store in Mindanao is opening real soon.
