Shane Filan, the lead singer of popular Irish boy band Westlife, is set to conquer Davao’s concert scene at the SMX Convention Center Davao on September 16.

Shane’s comeback concert comes a day after he rocks Manila.

Shane has been the lead singer of the Irish pop vocal group that has been a global hit in the late 90s to the first decade of the millenium.

Westlife is an Irish pop vocal group, which formed in 1998 in Dublin and disbanded in 2012. Originally signed by Simon Cowell in UK, Clive Davis in the United States and managed by Louis Walsh, the group’s line-up consisted of Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan, Mark Feehily, Shane Filan and Brian McFadden, who was a member until his departure in 2004.

Westlife sold over 40 million studio albums and 55 million records overall worldwide.

Hence, this much-awaited live concert ever.

He will be serenading the Filipino fans in Davao with Westlife’s hits “Uptown Girl”, “Swear It Again”, “If I Let You Go”, “Beautiful in White”, “Heaven”, and “Unbreakable.”

Sharing the stage for the night are the country’s OPM favorites Jed Madela and Morissette Amon.

Shane, being pleased, said in a press statement, “This is the first time I have put live tracks on the album. I go on tour so much now that I thought it would be nice to include something that people haven’t had before.” Singing and being on stage, he admits, is what makes him happier and be proud of and that it’s what he wants to do for the rest of his life. The show starts at 8 in the evening.
