Art is an expression of the culture and identity of a community, therefore one can say that the art is there for everyone to appreciate and enjoy.
Last August 26, SM Lanang Premier opened this year’s iteration of their Art For Everyone exhibit at the mall’s Atrium.
Art for Everyone 2019 is a celebration of artist diversity – from budding artists, art enthusiasts, and hobbyists to renowned artists and art groups. Since its inception in 2016, the art fair has been delighting mall-goers with a refreshing vibe in SM’s various malls through a fun-filled art sale and exhibit. This year, Art for Everyone has come closer to customers in 23 SM malls all over the country.
Sharing a renewed vision to further promote the local art scene and to support upcoming Filipino artists, the week-long art fair invites everyone to discover art and to also get in touch with their artistic side and creativity through different art pieces.
I love the many different works from different artists from Davao. Every genre and media is covered in the exhibit. From photo realistic oil paintings, dreamy watercolors, surreal acrylics, colourful mixed-media works, and even sculptures, there is something for everyone to appreciate, enjoy, and even purchase to bring home.
The event also had artist portrait sessions and art talks to demystify art and art appreciation, and build Durianburg’s art community through shared knowledge.
