The Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) charged with unraveling the mastermind and killers of Davao del Norte-based publisher Dennis Wilfredo Denora believed that the suspects are members of a group involved in some other killings and crimes in the province
In his investigation report, SITG Sr. Supt. Ferlu Silvio, director of Davao del Norte Provincial Police Office, revealed that some of the murder cases in Davao del Norte filed in court showed different suspects.
But in all killings, the weapon used matched the gun that killed Denora on June 7, 2018 in Panabo City.
In a meeting with Chief Supt. Marcelo Morales, director of Police Regional Office (PRO) 11, Silvio said the SITG is still gathering more witnesses to ensure the true identity of the perpetrators in court.
“We are continuously conducting in-depth investigation and looking for eye witnesses and collecting pieces of evidence,” Silvio said on a statement on Friday.
