The first nominee of Dumper partylist group has vowed to become a strong partner not only of public transport drivers, but also of their families, believing in their contribution to nation building.

Dumper also promised it will look into the protection and welfare of commuters.

Dumper, which stands for Drivers United for Mass Progress and Equal Rights, will be the voice of jeepney drivers, bus, taxi, UV, tricycle, and other forms of public transport, according to first nominee Claudine “Dendee” Bautista.

“Our objective is toward uplifting their conditions by instituting a comprehensive reform and program,” she said.

“It will also offer protection for drivers such as accident insurance and free legal assistance,” she said.

To comprehensively help the sector, Bautista said Dumper will also provide livelihood training as an additional income for the family, and scholarship and sports training for their children.

Bautista said she will use her knowledge and competency to represent her chosen sector in Congress.

Bautista finished the International Politics and Military Strategies program in London, the United Kingdom with the help of PrimApp – a consultancy firm that specializes in student placement and travel assistance abroad.

Bautista’s family used to operate a bus line in Davao del Sur years before.
