Northern Davao Electric Cooperative, Inc.(Nordeco), formerly Davao del Norte Electric Cooperative (Daneco), is eyeing to energize 45 sitios/puroks this year through the Sitio Electrification Program (SEP).
SEP is one of the projects of the National Electrification Administration (NEA) that aims to light up sitios/puroks in every corner of the country especially those in remote areas.
As of 2020, Nordeco has lighted up 462 sitios.
Nordeco also vowed to continue energizing far-flung sitios through SEP despite financial difficulties because of the pandemic.
Nordeco recently conducted SEP virtual project conference for Davao del Norte beneficiaries held at QACS Gym, Tagum City that was participated by the National Electrification Administration (NEA) project supervisor for NORDECO Emmanuel B. Galarse, Nordeco general manager Mario Angelo M. Sotto, NORDECO Management Committee, Task Force Duterte Northern Davao Power (TFD-NDP) vice-chairperson director Alejandro Rodriguez, Representatives of the municipal and barangay local government, purok/sitio leaders, officials and project contractors of the Department of Public Works and Highways 11 (DPWH 11).
