Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go shared to Davao media his realizations in politics as he braces for the looming exit of President Rodrigo Duterte in June this year.
Go, who shied away from the public eye after his withdrawal for Presidency last year, assured that he is just helping the President prepare his things and ensures he gets home in Davao City safely.
On February 7, 2022 the President announced during his recorded talk to the people that he is set to leave Malacañan Palace by March, three months before his term ends.
“So nag-iimpake na nga ako eh.
Go said the hardest in politics is packing your belongings and go home after your term.
That’s is reality. That is politics and reality of life na papalabas ka na talaga,” he said.
Go, who is a former close aide of the President, promised he would never leave the President and will stay at his side even after he steps down.
Go added that he is continuously working behind the scene.
Itinuring ko ang aking sarili as public servant but not as a politician,” he said.
