Davao City Covid-19 spokesperson Dr. Michelle Schlosser announced that the city government of Davao will be prioritizing employees of the BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) companies for its mobile vaccination of the booster doses.
Last Wednesday, Schlosser said that the city government of Davao will be bringing its mobile vaccination in their offices as well as private establishments to administer booster shots to increase the number of boosted individuals in Davao City.
“BPOs kasi ang isa sa mga dako na mga estbalishments and companies hiring a lot employees. We have been partnering with them since atong time na naga surge ta and now we are partnering with them sa pagpataas sa mga booster doses. Unahon nato ang mga employees sa BPOs because mas daghan ug massive ang hiring of employees nila,” Schlosser said on Friday.
During the meeting with the BPO firms on Friday morning, Schlosser said they were informed that some of their employees were a bit complacent because they were already fully vaccinated and that they feel like they are already protected.
“Ang uban kay gusto pa nila magpabilin sa ilang panimalay dili sila magpa booster para ma prolong ilang work-from-home,” Schlosser said.
She added that they also took note of the suggestions and recommendations of the BPO companies fitted to the needs of their employees during the meeting for an efficient rollout of booster doses.
“Daghan man gyud ang ilang fully vaccinated individuals kana lang sa booster dose medyo baba,” she said.
The city government of Davao will be bringing also vaccination of booster doses to the offices of the government agencies following the low turnout of booster dose in Davao City.
