First Congressional District Representative Paolo Duterte, through his son Rodrigo “Rigo” Duterte II, turned over on Wednesday, August 10, patient transport vehicles to four village leaders at the People’s Park.

The vehicles were given to barangay leaders Leilani Bacalso of Langub, Alimodin Usman of 23-C, Isidro Dujali of Bago Aplaya, and Eduardo Millondaga of 22-C in order to improve their emergency response to their constituents.

The effort to improve the emergency response in barangays was initiated by Rep. Duterte, ACT-CIS Partylist under Rep. Edvic Yap, and Benguet Rep. Eric Yap. Rep. Duterte said that they are doing their best to complete the project.

The four barangay leaders, respectively, expressed their sincere gratitude to Rep. Duterte and the entire staff of the First Congressional District Office for the endless support they have given to their constituents.

Rep. Duterte said that those transporters aim to address the immediate response of health programs and services in barangays, especially to far-flung communities of the First District.

As of to-date, the First Congressional District Office has distributed at least 16 patient transport vehicles to its barangay members. The lawmaker is looking forward to the entire 54 barangays having the transporters and ambulance trikes, as well, on time.
