A total of 2,510 job vacancies are up for grabs in the upcoming Philippine Tourism Job Fair slated on September 22 to 23, 2022 to be held at Abreeza Mall.
The job fair will be spearheaded by the Department of Tourism 11 (DOT 11) in collaboration with the Department of Labor and Employment 11 (DOLE 11), the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), and the Davao Tourism Association (DATA).
Lawyer Randolf Pensoy, director of DOLE 11, said 35 local employers are expected to participate in the upcoming fair.
“It’s good to note that there are 2,510 job vacancies. Hope our employers would answer the call. We encourage our employers as we respond to the need dahil ang mga residente natin sa Davao nangangailangan ng maayos na trabaho, hope a good number will be hired on the spot,” he said during Wednesday’s at Habi at Kape media forum.
Director Tanya Rabat-Tan of the Department of Tourism 11 (DOT 11) said the activity is eyeing to attract more than a thousand jobseekers/applicants.
She said for the tourism side, 50 tourism-related employers will be participating and 100 applicants are targeted to be hired on the spot.
Cherry Faye Al-ag, president of DATA, said there are openings for the positions of supervisors and managers and housekeeping from DATA’s member-establishments.
