The Davao City Business Bureau revealed on Monday that application for business permits for the first five days have breached the numbers over the same period last year.
Business Bureau head Maribel Paguican said over Davao City Disaster Radio (DCDR) that the bureau has generated 13,806 applications, which is an an increase of 1,894, compared to last year’s five-day operation with 11,912.
The figures represent a 16 percent increase in the first five days of business renewal application.
“In our first five days of operation, nindot kaayo ang resulta. Naka-generate ta og 13,806 applications, compared to last year’s five-day operation with 11,912,” she said.
She reported that 19 percent or 2,648 out of the 13,806 have already paid. But comparing that to the target 50,000 applications, only five percent have paid.
“Sige lang, second week pa man basin duna pa’y improvement this week, hopefully, para malikayan ang influx sa tao sa ulahi nga mga adlaw,” she said.
Apart from the office at the SP building, the city has opened satellite registration sites for the processing new business and business renewal including Almendras Gym for Talomo and Agdao districts, NCCC Buhangin for Buhangin district, Calinan Gym for Calinan district, and Baguio District Treasury Office for Baguio district.
The other sites are Marilog District Treasury Office, Paquibato Treasury Office, Toril District Treasury Office, Tugbok Treasury Office, Bunawan District Treasury Office, and Paquibato District Treasury Office.
Business owners are also urged to apply and transact online for a more convenient and efficient processing of the renewal of their business permits.
