Davao City First District Representative Paolo “Pulong” Duterte filed his wife January’s Certificate of Candidacy (CoC) at the regional office of the Commission on Elections (Comelec 11) on Monday during the first day of CoC filing for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) slated on October 30, 2023.

“Ako ang nagfile sa iyahang candidacy kay naa siya didto sa kaulohan karon nagbantay sa bata. Nautlan man nga niuli ko ug Kadayawan ako na lang gihulat ang filing. Daghan pud bisita mianhi sa Davao,” Duterte told the Davao media.
Meantime, the Dabawenyo legislator has vowed to help Comelec 11 establish a new and bigger building in Davao City.
He said he would talk to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) for budget allocation within the year or next year.
“Okay ang akong pagfile. Gamay lang gyud kaayo ang atoang building sa Comelec diri kinahanglan na gyud ug bag-ong building mao to nag-istorya mi sa Comelec official nga pangitaan ug paagi nga naa daw sila one hectare na yuta didto sa may UP-Mindanao in Mintal,” he said.
