The Social Security Services-Davao (SSS-Davao) urged pensioners to apply for pension loans through the SSS Pension Loan Program (PLP).
Geneva Shaula A. Virrey, senior member service representative of SSS-Davao, said on Friday that PLP is still ongoing wherein senior citizens and pensioners can apply as much as P200,000.
“Ongoing ang among pension loan program as much as P200,000 with an interest rate of 10 percent per annum puwede nila ma-loan magdepend na sa computation sa ilahang basic monthly pension,” she said during Kapihan sa PIA at NCCC-Victoria Plaza on Friday.
The PLP was launched to assist retirement pensioners in their short-term financial needs by offering a loan at a low interest rate. Qualified retirement pensioners can apply for a loan equivalent to 3, 6, 9, or 12 times their basic monthly pension plus the P1,000.00 additional benefit, but not exceeding the maximum amount of P 200,000.00.
“We encourage our pensioners na imbes sa gawas mag apply ug pension loans might as well sa SSS na lang mismo kay ang nakaguwapo sa programa sa SSS is naay mabilin sa ilahang pension unlike sa mga lending institutions nga walay mabilin sa ilahang pensions. Sa SSS naay percentage sa ilahang pension na mabilin and safe pud sila as well as ilang mga records,” she said.
