Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte lambasted anew the Makabayan Bloc, particularly ACT Teachers Rep. France Castro, during the Peace Village exhibit event in Davao City on Monday.
The vice president led the opening of the Peace Village, an exhibit of Davao Region’s milestones in peace and Development, at the Annex activity center of SM City Davao on Monday.
In her message, she slammed Castro and other opposition leaders for questioning the Confidential Fund (CF) of the Office of the Vice President’s (OVP) and the Department of Education (DepEd) totaling P650 million and called their criticisms all lies.
“Yan ang ginagawa ni France Castro (lies). Sige lang sila atake and nag-aantay ako, give me something concrete that I did something wrong and there is nothing, wala. Pero tuloy pa rin ang atake nila in the hopes that yung lie, the lies that they are peddling that I did something wrong would take stop sa utak ng mga tao. Yan yung ginagawa nila,” Duterte said.
She said she’d been waiting until now if the Makabayan Bloc or Castro already filed a case against the OVP or her.
Wala. Pero tuloy tuloy pa rin sila,” she said.
Duterte also hit Castro for questioning DepEd’s insufficient number of enrollees even though only a month has passed since the classes opened.
Meanwhile, Duterte thanked Rep. Stella Quimbo of the Second District of Marikina and Defense Secretary Gilberto “Gibo” Teodoro for defending the OVP’s request for confidential funds.
“Nagpasalamat na kami kay Congresswoman Stella Quimbo, kay Sec. Gibo, at sa lahat ng mga nagsasalita, pero sinasabihan naming sila privately huwag na kayo magsalita because there is no defending an attack that is meant to run paulit ulit para in the end yung hndi totoo maging totoo sa utak ng mga tao. We should expose the lies implored by the terrorists to survive,” Duterte said.
